The Mustard Seed
Session.
A gentle, guided experience for women’s ministries, small groups, and church gatherings, brought to you in person.
Something small.
Something that grows.
Women in your ministry are carrying more than they let on. The Mustard Seed Session gives them permission to set it down for a little while and walk away with one truth and one real step.
This is not a lecture. Not a sermon. Not group therapy. It is a guided moment of quiet reflection that meets each woman exactly where she is, through the Five Pillars of The Bloom.
No one is asked to share publicly. No one is put on the spot. Every woman moves at her own pace, in her own workbook, while Melinda guides the room with stories, questions, and still moments.
You open with prayer. You close with prayer. What happens in between is grounded in nature, rooted in honest reflection, and gentle enough for every woman in the room, wherever she is she is in her walk.
What your women
will explore.
Through nature-rooted imagery and quiet reflection, each pillar opens a door. Your women decide how far they walk through it.
Each pillar stands beautifully on its own, and each one connects naturally to themes your ministry may already be teaching.
Perfect for ministry leaders
who want something different.
The Mustard Seed Session fits naturally into your existing rhythms or stands beautifully on its own.
“Seed to Sprout touched me in a way I did not expect. It brought me to tears because it made me realize I needed to make real changes in my life and start putting myself first. I left feeling seen, supported, and hopeful again.”
K.H., Seed to Sprout ParticipantIt gives women a moment
they wouldn’t give themselves.
Your women show up faithfully. They serve, they give, they pour out. But when did someone last create space just for them to breathe?
- Creates a meaningful shared experience without requiring public vulnerability
- Supports emotional and spiritual well-being alongside your ministry’s teaching
- Complements, never competes with, your existing sermon series or Bible study
- Honors diverse backgrounds and wherever each woman is in her journey
- Strengthens community without pressure or performance
- Fits retreats, seasonal gatherings, monthly meetings, or one-time events
Not a to-do list.
One truth. One step.
Every woman leaves with something that belongs to her actual life. Not a program, not a challenge, not homework.
- A grounded sense of what is steady in her life right now
- One truth she can no longer ignore, the one that was waiting for space
- One small, doable next step that belongs to her real life
- A feeling of being seen, settled, and less alone
- Her personal workbook to continue reflecting on her own
It’s not about changing their whole life. It’s about helping them understand their season and start where they are.
A session your women
will still be talking about.
- A 45 or 90 minute live, in person session
- Participant workbook (printed or digital) for every woman
- Gentle guidance through all five pillars of The Bloom
- Optional opening and closing prayer. You lead, and Melinda follows your ministry’s culture
- Quiet personal reflection time woven throughout
- A closing moment where each woman names what’s next for her
- Optional Q&A with your leadership team afterward
- Designed for 12–30 women to protect emotional safety and intimacy
Choose the time
your women have.
Every gathering is different. Pick the shape that fits your calendar, and we’ll tailor the rest together.
The Mustard Seed Session
The full experience. Melinda gently guides your women through all five pillars of The Bloom, with quiet reflection, stories, and a workbook for every woman.
Best for retreats, conferences, seasonal events, and special gatherings.
The Mustard Seed Moment
A shorter, gentler introduction. Melinda shares her story, walks your women through one or two pillars your ministry chooses, and every woman leaves with a permission slip.
Best for ladies’ luncheons, monthly meetings, and small groups.
One session.
A six week season of growth.
The Mustard Seed Session is designed to be a beginning, not a one time event.
Every woman keeps her participant guide, and your leaders keep a copy too. Because the session is built on five pillars, it gives your ministry a natural six week arc if you’d like one: one week to revisit the session, then one week for each pillar. Your leaders pair each pillar with the scripture, teaching, and discussion that fit your church, so your women keep going deeper long after the session ends.
- Week 1: Revisit the session and what each woman named for herself
- Week 2: Nourishment, what fills and sustains her
- Week 3: Roots, what grounds and anchors her
- Week 4: Pruning, what needs to be released
- Week 5: Cultivation, what deserves her attention
- Week 6: Seasonality, what pace her life is asking for
Your ministry leads the teaching. Melinda simply plants the seed.

Hi, I’m Melinda.
For most of my life, I believed I had to stay small. Be easy. Don’t make waves. I was the one holding everything up for everyone else, and I didn’t notice how parched I had become until something had to give.
Learning to tend my own garden changed everything. It led me to write my book, Blooming Again, Rooted in Nature, and to create The Bloom, a gentle framework built on five pillars that helps women notice what they need and start where they are.
I’m a wife, a mom, a storyteller, and a Louisiana girl who would rather sit on the back porch with you than stand on a stage. That’s exactly how I lead every session.
You’re not broken. You’re untended. And that can change.
An investment in
the women who serve.
The full 90 minute Mustard Seed Session begins at $750 and includes a participant guide for every woman, for groups of up to 30. The 45 minute Mustard Seed Moment begins at $400. A love offering is always welcome and never expected.
Serving a smaller congregation? Please don’t let budget keep you from reaching out. I’m always glad to talk about what works for your church.
“My heart is to create a space where women can breathe, reflect, and reconnect with themselves, without pressure, performance, or expectation. If your ministry is longing for a gentle, grounded experience that meets women right where they are, I would be honored to serve your community.”
